Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian Wedding

 

16 November 2017 was the date that New Orleans saw tennis titan walk down the aisle to marry Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

Vogue was their official photographer and the first publication to print their photos. All the guests were required to not bring their cell phones to maintain the privacy by not posting anything on social media.

Serena wore Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen princess gown - a ball gown silhouette.

A short video of Serena and Alexis's relationship was shown to the guests which included Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Eva Longoria and many more.

Serena wanted a fashion show feel with the seating arrangement meaning:



Serena wanted everything non traditional. From opting sofas instead of chairs, with everything facing the aisle and not the alter.

Her long time friend Eva Longoria and her husband were seen attending the wedding.





Anna Wintour - editor -in -chief of Vogue was seen attending the wedding of the happy couple.



Beyonce and other guests can be seen at the event beaming with joy for the newly wedded couple.



Serena switched to this white Versace dress for the after party.

They danced to 'Tale As Old As Time' from Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast" for their first dance as husband and wife.

They chose November 16 in honour of her mother (her birthday) who passed away nine years ago.



Cynthia Erivo performed "A natural woman" for the couple and guests.



New edition performed their hits.

The party included a buffet, Gatorade and a classic video game arcade with machines including Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. 

After the event was over, she posted  a pic of her resting on Instagram which has got 291k likes and 5345 comments already.

They all partied the night away and went straight to their honeymoon.
